Football Expert Sutton Takes On Singer Olly Murs in Premier League Forecasts
The Gunners' 10-game winning streak was ended by Sunderland before the global break, however will the Premier League frontrunners recover against north London rivals Spurs this weekend?
"{I feel like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham currently but Spurs boss Thomas Frank will have a plan for this match," stated football expert Chris Sutton.
"Frank will try to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their scintillating finest this season - but Mikel Arteta's side typically still manage to win."
Sutton is making predictions for all 380 Premier League fixtures this term, versus artificial intelligence, fans and a range of guests.
For the twelfth round, he faces singer Olly Murs, who is a United supporter.
Murs' new record, Knees Up, is out on Friday.
Soccer and Family Life
Murs is a skilled soccer player as well as a successful artist and has been a featured player of multiple Soccer Aid matches over time - but he is not planning a professional return as a footballer.
"{I recently played in a charity game the other evening for a friend of mine," he said. "My side was losing 3-1 when I came off in the second half, and they proceeded to win 4-3, so you can read into that what you will!
"I continue to love football, but I injured my joint a few years ago and it even now isn't where I want it to be. I wish I could play more but the unpredictability of the game means it's too dangerous for me in my career to do it seriously again.
"Plus I am forty-one now, and we are not everyone is Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very happy not playing football and I am preparing for the moment that my child or boy chooses to play instead."
The singer and his spouse his partner have a young family, Madison and Albert, and he is ready to emulate his dad by becoming their coach.
"I won't force football on our kids but I've already told my wife that if they happen to get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my manager qualifications - and I will probably be coaching their Saturday soccer team," he said.
"I observed my relatives play a lot, and I truly got into it, and I clearly was involved with a football club for a while too.
"My father did it with us when I was a child, which is likely where I get it from. He coached our team for several years and had great fun with it. That might be the next step for me as well, and I am looking forward to it!"
Premier League Predictions
Weekend, 22 November
- Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT
The Blues may have to be patient for their star's comeback from injury but their offense is now stronger with Pedro and Liam Delap both back fit.
I still think this game will be fairly close, though. Burnley are well organised and their only at Turf Moor defeats so far have been against the Reds and Arsenal.
It suggests a 1-1 draw to me, but I am in fact going to choose Chelsea to edge it for what would be their third Premier League win in a row.
Sutton's forecast: 1-2
The singer's pick: The Blues will be too strong. 1-3
Artificial intelligence's prediction: 0-2
- Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT
Bournemouth have lost their past two games - albeit both of them were away - but they got absolutely spanked by Aston Villa last time out which shocked me.
On the other hand, the Hammers won two in a row before the international break and, although both of those fixtures were at home, they appear strong again.
West Ham's sole on the road win this season came at Forest in August, when their manager Nuno was still that team's coach.
Therefore, what exactly do I go with here - can the Hammers extending their run under their manager, or the home side bouncing back?
I am going to go with the Cherries, because I think what occurred against Villa was a blip.
Sutton's prediction: 2-0
Olly's prediction: Bournemouth are doing well but West Ham have improved under Nuno. 2-2
AI's prediction: 1-1
- Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT
The Bees were seen as one of the favourites for the drop before the campaign began, but they have surprised a few people under Keith Andrews and are in good form with three wins in their past four games.
My son told me to get Bees striker Igor Thiago in my fantasy soccer squad a few weeks back and, guess what, I didn't listen.
The forward will likely find the net again on the weekend but I am nonetheless not going to pick him or support the away side at Amex Stadium.
They have not had much success on the travel this term, and the Seagulls are consistently strong at home. The visitors will attempt to attack on the counter-attack but I feel the home manager's team carry much more of a threat.
The analyst's prediction: 2-1
The singer's view: This could be one of those games where you expect there is going to be a many scores but it in reality proves to be rather tight. 1-1
AI's outcome: 2-1
- Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT
It is a massive fixture for Fulham, who have suffered defeat in five of their past six matches.
They have have plenty of talent in their team but it still feels like they could be dragged into a drop zone battle.
Regarding Sunderland, well they are the unexpected success of the top flight season so far.
The away side's display in the two-all tie with the Gunners last time out was excellent. We've not seen any other team rough up the North London side like that this term, and Sunderland were more than a match for them.
The sensible thing to do to support the visitors here, because they are obviously capable of disrupting the hosts up too and, the last time they were in west London, they beat the Blues at the end of October.
However I am not going to choose that. Rather, I really need to carry on going against Sunderland with my predictions. I am claiming a lot of responsibility for their positive results because they evidently enjoy to prove me wrong.
Looking at Fulham's home form, the sole team they have lost to is the league leaders. Their manager's side will be extremely desperate for a good result, so I am going to say they will pick up three points.
Sutton's forecast: 1-0
Olly's choice: I'm aware the visitors are doing well and additionally that the hosts are on a poor streak... but they have still been decent at home this season. 2-0
AI's outlook: 2-0
- Anfield, 15:00 GMT
It is a hard fixture to predict. Liverpool have suffered seven of their past 10 matches in all competitions, but could they be one of the sides who benefit from the {international break|
