Former Doctor Faces Assault Allegations Involving 38 Individuals in His Care
Legal authorities report that a former physician has been charged with performing sexual assaults against thirty-eight victims who were under his care.
Details of the Serious Allegations
Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham is accused of numerous acts of sexual assault – comprising acts against minors under the age of thirteen – spanning the period from 2017 to 2021.
A deputy chief prosecutor commented, “Our prosecutors have worked at length to support a detailed and complex investigation, meticulously examining the available evidence to establish that there is a strong case to proceed to trial and that it is in the public interest.”
Scope of the Investigation
The charges come after what police called a “detailed inquiry” into alleged assaults at medical facilities: a hospital in Stoke-on-Trent and a facility in Dudley.
The defendant is due to appear at the North Staffordshire justice centre on 20 January.

Prosecutors outline the 45 charges include:
- Fifteen counts of sexual assault.
- 17 counts of penetrative assault.
- 9 counts of sexual assault of a child under 13.
- Three counts of penetrative assault on a child under thirteen.
- 1 count of attempted penetrative assault.
