Nico O’Reilly Another confident showing from the rising star following his initial appearance against another side. A teammate failed to make the most of an exquisite touch behind the Albania defence. The role looks secure at this stage. Seven

Adam Wharton His maiden beginning with the national team. Slightly careless in possession but his whipped set-pieces were a threat. A handy game manager available to the boss to utilize against sides that sit back. Shown a yellow after a reckless foul. 6/10

The midfielder Set-pieces from corners and free kicks were dangerous. Enjoyed license to drift in left midfield only to be in an offside position when the ball arrived in front of goal. Given a merited rest on the hour mark. Six

The star midfielder Operated in an advanced role out wide while also put in defensive duties. Showed moments of class and dragged a shot over. Replaced towards the end by Rogers, a fellow player, following a yellow card. Seven

The winger Had England’s clearest opportunity in the opening period, his strike well saved from Thomas Strakosha. As Quansah staying deep, he had to provide width down the right side but his crosses into the box varied in quality. Substituted with 15 to go. Six

The captain The decisive figure netting two more goals in an England shirt. The opener a typical poacher’s finish and his next a superb headed goal following a clever run away from the opposition. Now 32, his form is unwavering with the national team are strong contenders in future competitions when he's in the team. 8/10

Eberechi Eze Had difficulty to influence play on the left flank. Had a decent opportunity after being played in by the midfielder however the keeper denied him. Rashford made much more of effect after coming on. 5/10
