Devoted fans of the pop star are demanding that a individual who jumped a barricade and grabbed the celebrity during the recent Wicked: For Good debut be arrested or deported from Singapore.

A circulating footage depicts the Australian man pushing past camera operators and charging at Grande while the performers made its way down a event pathway accompanied by supporters.

Cast member Cynthia Erivo immediately guided the stunned star away from Mr Wen, who was spotted being escorted out of the premiere by guards.

Mr Wen shared on Instagram late on Thursday that he was "released after being taken in", though court documents indicated that he was due to appear on Friday morning. It is not clear if he was charged.

Pattern of Event Invasions

This is not an isolated incident for Mr Wen, who describes himself as a "Notorious Troublemaker", has invaded a concert or event. His Instagram account includes recordings of him interrupting other star-studded functions, including jumping on stage at the artist's Sydney show in earlier this year and in a comparable manner during The Chainsmokers event in the area last December.

"There needs to be action applied against him as this is evidently a criminal offence," wrote an Instagram user, in a message to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his actions.

"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" one Instagram user wrote.

Supporters Express Concern Over Grande's Safety

Many supporters criticized Mr Wen for "causing further distress" Grande, who had revealed suffering from trauma-related anxiety after a terrorist explosion at the end of her May 2017 show in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and wounding hundreds.

"Ariana has been through so many scary things... and at her Manchester concert and you thought it would be fun to jump the barricade?" wrote a further comment on Instagram.

A number of supporters also faulted event staff at the gathering for not being sufficiently alert; while different individuals requested digital services to block Mr Wen's uploads.

Response and Event Details

In videos circulating online, Grande appeared surprised when she was touched by the man. Her co-stars Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be spotted reassuring her while Mr Wen was led out by staff.

Grande has not issued a statement on the event, and the premiere activities proceeded as normal.

Hundreds of Singapore fans had queued up to see the actors of Wicked

Hundreds of supporters had gathered in a mass of colorful attire at the Wicked: For Good regional launch in a Singapore shopping center, including several who had waited for as long as eight hours before it commenced.

The film, to be released on November 21, is the second of a two-part adaptation of the well-known Broadway and West End musical Wicked, which focuses on the unlikely relationship between two contrasting sorceresses.

The musical itself is a derivative of the twentieth-century book The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who portrays the benevolent sorceress Glinda, was dressed in a champagne pink glittering gown at the premiere while Erivo, who acts as the Elphaba, wore a elegant ensemble decorated with roses.

They were alongside cast member Jeff Goldblum.

The initial film, Wicked, was the top-earning movie of 2024 in the UK, and received 10 award recognitions, winning several for best costume and production design.
