The Popular Show Campaign 4 Reveals the Fighters Party

Since the launch of Campaign 4, fresh DM the talented storyteller has kept fans guessing with rich lore, a wide array of heroes, and a thrilling plot including celestial beings, fiends, and sinister influences growing in power within Dol-Makjar.

Note: Spoilers for the third episode of this adventure are included.

The Combat-Oriented Party Unveiled

The latest chapter finished on a dramatic pause and revealed the initial group of characters who will branch out from the central cast to embark on their independent quest, separate from the other two tables.

The combat-focused team features the determined fighter (portrayed by the voice actor), Thimble (Laura), the strong-willed figure (Whitney), Wicander Halovar (the player), and Kattigan (Robbie).

Dividing the Cast

Considering 13 cast members, it was evident from the start that keeping everyone at a single group would be unworkable.

Hence, the opening chapters of Campaign 4 serve as an Introduction, connecting the characters’ stories before dividing into three distinct groups: Fighters, Schemers, and Seekers.

The Nature of the Combat Party

As described by the Dungeon Master, the combat-focused party is for players who enjoy a typically action-packed fight-heavy narrative style where diplomatic options are few and far between.

Upon first impression, characters like the hesitant healer Wicander Halovar might look unsuited, but the actions of episode 3 show why these specific adventurers are best suited for the Soldiers table.

Why They Must Go

First, the group understands precisely where to head next after a brutal first encounter with The Crow Keepers.

Casimir of Thjazi—whose demise started the campaign’s events—manipulated The Crow Keepers for his own means, invading the secret base, attacking the character, and swiping all the powerful objects to dispose of.

Casimir then cleared his debts and ran away to a secure base in Gormalay, Timmony, north of Dol-Makjar, with Cyd Pridesire close behind.

Character Drivers

Secondly, each member has a specific drive to depart Dol-Makjar:

  • Thimble, as the companion and trusted friend, desires vengeance.
  • The knowledgeable figure has experience in the northern area and advises that it is a nasty place.
  • The strong character and The cleric, having resisted his house’s orders to execute Teor and instead rescued him, have no other options.
  • But, their status as prominent individuals in House Halovar could help the group reach places they usually can’t.
  • Additionally, The grateful character pledged a life debt to The cleric for his rescue and will now go with him wherever.

Fugitives

In addition, all of them are wanted by the powers that control the setting for a range of causes, making lingering locally dangerous:

  • Thimble and Kattigan are recognized lawbreakers.
  • The strong figure and Wicander turned against the influential house and the horde of evil beings they are aligned with.
  • The target is targeted for elimination by the clan.

This means them few options but to journey toward the remote area in search of the traitor.

What’s Next?

From the recent installment’s Cooldown, we learn that the combat party will be absent in the upcoming installment, leaving the remaining eight players to assemble the Explorers and Strategists parties.

Fans can look forward to learning which adventurers will be where in Campaign 4’s concluding setup installment, released on the upcoming Thursday.
