The co-creator of Call of Duty, renowned for co-creating the wildly popular franchise Call of Duty, has passed away in a traffic collision in Los Angeles, California aged 55.

The tragic news was verified by Electronic Arts, the parent company of Respawn Entertainment, the development studio he co-founded.

The influential game designer lost his life when his vehicle was involved in a crash and burst into flames on a motorway in LA on Sunday morning, US media outlets report.
